A fender bender in Phoenix taught me to check the frame first, every single time.

I pulled a 'minor' front end job off a tow truck and found the radiator support pushed back three inches. Anyone else get fooled by a car that looks fine until you measure?

Used to just trust my eyes on a quick look. That Phoenix story is exactly why I break out the tape measure now. It's saved me from a couple bad deals already.

Totally agree with you both @noah914. It's wild how many things in life are just slightly off square. Think it's part of that whole "looks fine but isn't" pattern you see everywhere now.

Right?! A tape measure is good, but I've learned to bring a laser level for the REALLY sneaky ones.
