Am I the only one who hit 100 bumper repairs on one paint stick and felt weirdly proud?
I was cleaning out my gun cart last Friday and counted my tally marks on the side of this old mixing stick, and there it was, 100 bumpers, all marked in Sharpie. Sounds dumb, but I started ticking them off after a shop in Grand Rapids burned me on a color match back in March, and I wanted a record of how many jobs went through that same base coat. The 100th one was a silver Camry rear cover, and it matched perfect on the first sprayout. My counter guy just laughed when I showed him the stick, then asked if I was gonna frame it. I tossed it in the trash, but now I'm second guessing that. What do you all keep as a dumb little scorecard around the shop?
