Dropped $900 on a stud welder and dent puller kit, and I'm not sure it paid for itself yet
Bought a used Motor Guard stud welder setup with the slide hammer and a dent puller kit about 5 months back for $900 cash off a guy closing his shop in Modesto. My old way was drilling holes and pulling with a hook, which meant I was filling way more than I wanted to on every panel. Since then I've done maybe 12 jobs where it saved me time on quarter panels and doors, but I still reach for the glue kit on anything thin or where I can't get behind it. Half my customers drive old trucks with bed dents, so the stud welder doesn't get used as much as I thought it would. For the guys who bought one, how long did it take before it actually felt worth the money?
