Had my welder die mid-job yesterday, totally threw off my day
Ngl, I was in the middle of patching a quarter panel on a 2015 Civic when my little Hobart Handler 140 just quit. No spark, no wire feed, nothing. Turns out the liner was all gummed up with rust dust and the wire was birdnesting inside. I spent an extra 45 minutes cleaning it out and resetting everything. Anyone else deal with a welder dying at the worst possible time?

Liner all gummed up" sounds like a maintenance issue, if you ask me.

Nah, I gotta push back a little here. Gummed up liners usually mean people are letting product sit too long or not cleaning at the right intervals. It's a pain to deal with but it's not some mystery failure. Most of the time it's just laziness or cheaping out on cleaning supplies. You catch it early and scrub it right, it stays smooth. Let it go and you're asking for trouble.
