I used to think blending clear coat was cheating until a guy in Fort Worth showed me his way
For a long time I felt like a hack if I did not spray panel to panel, and I turned down a lot of spot work because of it. Then I watched a painter named Ray at a shop off Hemphill do a burn in on a silver Camry bumper and you honestly could not find the seam under a light. He told me the insurance jobs pay the same either way, so why burn 3 extra hours chasing a blend nobody will ever see. Now I do it on most bumpers and my cycle time per car is down about a day, anyone else switch over like this?
