The $15 Harbor Freight tool that fixed a nightmare blend job

Had a pearl white bumper on a 2019 Camry last week. Color match was close but the blend line kept ghosting through. Tried different pressure, more coats, everything. Then an old painter told me to try a foam blending brush, 4 bucks at the Harbor Freight in Tulsa. One pass and the line disappeared. Has anyone else used those foam brushes instead of the traditional gun banding trick?

Wait, you used one of those foam brushes for a pearl blend? My buddy Rick tried that on a silver F-150 last spring and he swore it saved his whole week, he was about to strip the fender and start over. He said the trick is to not load it up too heavy, just dab it and let the foam do the work, it kind of feathers the edge out way softer than a gun ever did for him. I keep meaning to grab one for myself but I always forget, then I watch him pull off these clean blends and kick myself. Anyway, yeah, that little brush thing is no joke, it's like magic for the finicky metallics.
