Watched a door skin job go bad in 3 months because of one skipped step
Had a 2019 Civic in my bay back in October where the owner wanted a door skin replaced after a parking lot hit, and I watched a buddy do the same repair at his shop in Boise around the same time. His came back looking wavy and bubbling along the edge by January while mine still looked clean, and the difference was he glued the skin on without sealing the bare metal lip first. Anyone else seen a panel job come back in under 90 days due to moisture getting under an unsealed edge, or is it just something in the air up here?
