A master tech told me to quit torquing lug nuts with my impact and I finally listened
I ran every wheel on my 1/2 inch impact for about 7 years until an old guy at the shop in Dayton asked me to pull out a torque wrench on his truck instead. He handed me a spec sheet showing 150 ft lbs and I had been hammering them way past that, which stretched two studs on a customer's Ram last month. Now the impact only snugs them and I finish by hand, anyone else's shop strict about this or is it just him?
