Can we talk about the new 10mm impact sockets from Harbor Freight?
I was at the tool truck yesterday and a guy said he's been using the Icon 10mm deep impact for six months with no rounding. I always thought you needed the big brand ones for that kind of work. Has anyone else put these cheaper impacts through a real test?

Saw a video where a guy torqued lug nuts with one for a whole year. Honestly, it held up better than his Snap-on.

Honestly used to think the same about needing expensive brands. That Icon socket story tracks with what I've seen in the shop lately. The gap in quality just isn't what it used to be.

Yeah, but did your buddy happen to mention if the chrome started flaking after a month... I had a friend who beat on a Pittsburgh Pro 10mm for like two years before it finally split, @sageallen is right that the gap has shrunk a ton.
