Found a dumb trick for seized caliper pins
Chased a sticky brake caliper on a 2015 F-150 for 3 hours last Saturday, tried heat, PB blaster, even a slide hammer. Ended up using a cheap impact screwdriver I had for stripped screws, one whack broke it loose. Anyone else got a weird tool that saves you time on brake jobs?

Nah man, heat and PB blaster usually work fine if you’re patient.

Heat and PB blaster just aren't enough for a lot of these modern trucks and cars. You got all that aluminum and corrosion from dissimilar metals, heat can warp or damage stuff real easy if you aren't careful. PB blaster works okay on light rust but on that heavy white crust or seized bolts it might as well be water. I've snapped more bolts using that method than just cutting a slot or welding a nut on from the start. Patience doesn't help when the bolt is already rusted solid inside a steel sleeve. Sometimes you just gotta give in and get the torch or the big extractors out.
