Had a kid argue with me about his tire pressure today

This young guy rolls in with a 2015 Civic, says his tire pressure light has been on for two weeks. I check his tires and they're all at 28 psi, which is low but not crazy. I show him the door sticker that says 32 psi, and he tells me Google said 28 is fine for better gas mileage. I had to pull up the manual on my phone and read it to him before he'd let me air them up. Has anyone else dealt with customers who trust internet advice over the actual specs on their car?

Nah, the kid had a point about trying to save gas.

@viola_butler you saying the kid was right about cutting fuel costs or just the effort?
