I finally saw the light on air hammer bits after a talk with an old timer

Was working on a rusted out Ford F-250 frame last week, fighting a stubborn leaf spring bolt. An old guy named Hank who's been in the trade 40 years walked over and watched me struggle. He said 'stop using that cheap Chinese bit, it's softer than the rust.' Handed me a Mayhew bit he'd used since the 90s. Broke that bolt loose in 30 seconds flat. Hit different because I'd always thought bits are bits, just steel. Now I threw out my whole set and spent $150 on quality ones. Anybody else have a tool they swore was fine until someone showed them the real deal?

Bought a Snap On screwdriver set after borrowing my neighbor's and it made a huge difference on stubborn screws.

My buddy Mike had the exact same thing happen but with a wrecking bar. He was using this beat up old one from a hardware store and could barely get nails out of treated lumber. Then he borrowed a Stanley FatMax from his neighbor @victorbutler and that thing pried nails out like butter. He still talks about that day two years later. Ended up buying the same model and now he brings it to every job site like it's his lucky charm. Funny how one good tool can change how you see everything in your box.
