Just fixed a vacuum leak on a 2012 Ram that had me stumped for 3 days
It was a hairline crack in the plastic elbow behind the intake manifold, right where you can't see it without a mirror. Took me 45 minutes with some JB Weld and a prayer - has anyone else had luck patching those instead of replacing the whole assembly?

You know what else works for those plastic elbows, @the_jake? A little bit of high-temp RTV smeared over the crack first, then wrap it tightly with self-fusing silicone tape. Let it sit overnight before you start it up. I've had that hold for years on some equipment. Saves you from pulling the whole manifold apart.

Man I feel your pain on that elbow crack. My 2010 had the exact same thing and I spent a whole weekend chasing a ghost before I found it with a mirror and a flashlight. I ended up using aluminum tape as a temp fix and it held for like 8 months before I finally swapped the whole intake tube. Did you have to pull the intake manifold to get to yours or did you manage to sneak your hand back there?
