Overheard a shop foreman say 'never trust a torque wrench that's been dropped' - and it hit me hard

I was at a shop in Nashville last Tuesday picking up parts and one of the old timers was talking to a younger guy about how he keeps his torque wrenches in their own padded drawer. The foreman walked by and said that line about dropping them. Made me think about all the times I've just tossed mine back in the toolbox after using it. Anybody else ever wonder if their torque wrench is off because of stuff like this?

My buddy dropped his Snap-on on concrete and never trusted it again.

That Snap-on trauma is real. One drop and it's never the same again.
