PSA: I quit using impact wrenches on lug nuts last spring and my back thanks me
For 15 years I zipped every lug nut on with my IR 1/2 inch impact and never gave it a second thought, then last spring I read a service bulletin about stretched studs and decided to try a torque wrench on a customer's Silverado. It took maybe 20 extra seconds per wheel, but the studs came off smooth as butter and I haven't snapped one since. Anybody else made the switch, or am I just getting old and slow?
