Rant: Had a caliper bolt snap off flush in a Tucson customer's driveway yesterday.
I was doing a simple pad swap in 100-degree heat when the bolt head sheared clean off, leaving me with an extraction job that took two hours and three different drill bits before I finally got it out with a left-handed tap.

My buddy's "30 minute job" turned into a whole weekend, lol.

Ugh, don't you just hate when that happens? I had a caliper bolt snap on an old Civic in my own garage (talk about a bad day). Spent forever trying to drill it out, and I swear the metal was harder than the drill bits. Ended up having to take the whole knuckle off to get better access, which was a whole other nightmare.

That exact thing happened to me on a 2015 Escape last summer. The lower caliper bolt just fused itself in there. I went through two extractor kits before a buddy brought over his welder to put a nut on the stub. What should have been a 30 minute job turned into a whole afternoon.
