Saw a tech at the local parts store trying to seat a bead with starting fluid, no tire cage in sight.
He sprayed a whole bunch into a 35-inch mud tire on the floor and lit it. The explosion was so loud it set off a car alarm across the street. That method is a fast track to a trip to the ER if the wheel lets go. I've seen a rim split a cage before. What's the safest way you guys handle big, stubborn beads in a pinch?

Yeah that "fast track to the ER" line is no joke. I mean, I get being in a bind, but that starting fluid trick is just asking for trouble. For a big tire like that, a solid bead blaster is the only safe bet. Even then, you gotta respect it, cause that much force is nothing to play with.

Honestly, people forget how loud that bead blast can be too. Tbh, you can mess up your hearing for good if you don't wear protection.
