That time I laughed at a customer for asking if a cold air intake actually added power... then I dyno-tested one on my own truck last weekend
I put a $250 intake on my '05 Silverado, gained 8 horsepower and 12 ft-lbs at the rear wheels, and now I'm eating crow while trying to figure out how to hide this from my buddy who called it snake oil six months ago.

Wait, how long did you leave it on before it gave you those numbers? Just kidding, that's actually legit. I bet your buddy's gonna show up with a six-pack and a list of excuses, probably something about dyno jet correction factors or the phase of the moon. Honestly, now you gotta keep that intake on 24/7 or else he'll catch you with the stock box back on and know you were right.
