Torque wrench click trick I missed for 12 years
Was torquing head bolts on a 5.3 LS in my shop near Tulsa and kept second guessing my readings. Turned out my Harbor Freight clicker was off by 8 ft-lbs because I never stored it at zero. A Snap-on guy at the parts counter pointed out the spring relaxes over time, now I reset it every use. Anyone else had a calibration fail that cost them a redo?

8 ft-lbs off on a head bolt is just an afternoon, not a tragedy.
