A 2015 Garmin screen vs a 2025 one, night and day after 3 night flights

I swapped out an old G1000 screen in a Cessna 172 last month for a newer unit and honestly forgot how bad the old one was. The old display had this yellow tint after 10 years of heat cycles and the backlight was so dim I had to squint through the last 2 hours of a night run from Austin to Dallas. The new one is crisp, the colors pop, and the refresh rate feels twice as fast. Has anyone else noticed a huge difference just swapping older screens out, or is it just me being picky about display age?
