Coax crimpers: ratcheting style beat my old squeeze tool on the 737 wingtip job
Last month in Renton I had 22 antenna connectors to terminate on a wingtip and grabbed the ratchet crimper instead of the old squeeze frame I've used for 9 years. The ratchet gave me the same crimp height on every pin and I didn't scrap a single contact, while my squeeze tool used to leave me guessing on the last few. Does anyone actually prefer the manual frame for tight spots, or is the ratchet just the way to go now?
