Found a better way to trace intermittent faults on the G1000
I used to just swap parts until the problem went away, which took forever on a King Air 350 last year. Now I set up the Garmin GTS 800 traffic system to log data for a full flight cycle before I touch anything. It showed a single bad packet from the right transponder that I would have missed. Anyone else use the built-in logs more than the test set these days?

That G1000 log trick saved me a whole day on a 172 last month. I mean, the data's already there, right?

Smart move. I've started pulling those logs for any squawk now, saves so much time chasing ghosts.
