Had an old A&P guy at WestJet show me a wire routing trick I still use

I was working a line maintenance shift in Calgary last winter, wrestling with a bundle that kept getting snagged. This older tech, must have been there 30 years, walked over and said "stop fighting the aircraft, just let the wire find its own path." He showed me how to lay it loose first, then zip tie after the bend settles. I still think about that whenever I get frustrated with a tight harness. Anybody else got a tip from a seasoned tech that stuck with you?

Let the wire find its own path" - that's gold. An old guy taught me the same trick on a 737.

Let the wire find its own path though... what happens when the wire is stubborn and just won't cooperate? Had that happen on a 767 once where a bundle kept catching on a bracket no matter how much you wiggled it. Ended up having to run a new bundle altogether because the original path was just too tight. Did your old 737 guy ever mention what he'd do when the wire absolutely refused to go where it was supposed to?
