Hot take: My run-in with a pilot who swore his GPS was possessed by a ghost

Had a Delta captain last Tuesday absolutely CONVINCED his 737's moving map was showing his dead grandma's house instead of the runway at DFW, spent 20 minutes convincing him it was just a bad antenna cable and not a haunting, has anyone else dealt with pilots who blame avionics glitches on the supernatural?

Not sure I buy this one... GPS glitches are super common and spooky looking when they mess up. Old antenna cables can cause all kinds of weird stuff, like showing random locations or putting you miles off. Pilots are trained to trust their instruments but also to notice when something feels off, so it makes sense he'd want to rule out the creepy stuff first. Still, blaming his grandma's house sounds more like a joke he was running with than a real belief.
