I start my day with hands-on checks before touching a meter
Most believe meters give all the answers. By checking connectors by hand first, I caught a loose pin that diagnostics skipped. It's now my standard practice.

Back at my old shop in 2012, I found a corroded ground wire just by wiggling the harness before even getting out my multimeter. The computer kept throwing a weird voltage code, but the physical feel of that crunchy connector was the real clue. It saved us maybe an hour of chasing ghosts through the wiring diagram. I mean, meters are great, but they can't feel a bad connection or spot a hairline crack in plastic. That one job basically trained me to always start with my eyes and hands. Idk, maybe it's just me but that physical check cuts through so much noise.

My friend Tony had a similar issue in his garage last fall. He was chasing an on and off electrical problem and just pressed on the fuse box before breaking out his meters, finding a loose terminal. That simple push saved him hours of diagnostic time.
