My thermos hack for avionics work in chilly hangars
Working in cold hangars, I kept having my coffee go cold too fast. A buddy told me about a double-walled thermos, and I gave it a try. Now I can leave it on the bench while I run tests on flight instruments, and it stays hot. It's perfect for those long jobs like tracing wires or checking systems. This little change has made my breaks much better and keeps me going. Do you have any simple tricks for making shift work more comfortable?

Save an old pair of socks to pull over your gloves between tasks, keeps the fingertips from going numb.

Cold hangar work really tests your gear, especially for hot drinks. What other tricks do you use for staying warm during long shifts?

@grace_garcia7, not sure it's worth all the worry. A decent thermal layer under your coveralls and keeping active beats any fancy gear. I see folks with heated jackets, but regular breaks to warm up in the office work just as well. It's cold, sure, but not exactly Arctic survival.
