Question about those fancy wire ferrule kits

I was dead set against using those pre-insulated wire ferrule kits. Always thought crimping direct on the wire was fine. Had a job on a Gulfstream G450 last month where a terminal came loose after 3 flights. Foreman made me re-terminate everything with the proper ferrules and a new crimper. 48 connections later and zero issues since. Anyone else been forced to switch and actually saw results?

Did you notice the connections feeling more solid right after crimping with the ferrules?

Nah man, 48 connections later and I'm STILL finding stray strands in my coffee cup.

Yeah, they felt way more solid from the start. That immediate tightness is what convinced me it was worth the switch.
