Spent 4 hours chasing a ground fault that turned out to be a loose screw on a bonding strap
Found it by accident when I bumped the panel and the multimeter jumped, has anyone else had a simple fix take way longer than it should have because you were looking in the wrong spot first?

I mean, the bonding strap screw thing is actually kind of a classic. Idk if you were looking at the wrong spot first or just overlooking the obvious cause a lot of us do that. One time I spent three hours tracing a phantom trip in a warehouse only to find out a wire nut had come loose on a junction box I checked twice before. It's almost like the more you look, the more you miss the simple stuff because you're expecting something complicated. Maybe it's just me but I've learned to step back and physically touch more things before diving into the meter.

Oh man, didn't I spend a whole afternoon on a loose neutral that was right there in plain sight?
