Tried fixing a loose connector with a paperclip on a Cessna 172 at KAPA and the owner walked in mid-splice
He just stared at me for 10 seconds, then handed me a proper pin removal tool from his pocket, and now I always keep one in my shirt sleeve.

Makes you wonder how many other things that guy keeps hidden in his pockets that would save someone's ass in a pinch. Bet he's the kind of guy who shows up with the exact right zip tie size too, never the wrong one. Always the quiet ones with the tool stash that saves the day, not the loud ones bragging about their kit online.
