Update: My shop's switch to biodegradable solvent wipes
We used to use a lot of standard wipes for cleaning avionics connectors. Switched to a plant-based biodegradable option last month. They break down faster in waste and reduce chemical runoff. Plus, ordering them in bulk saved us some money.

Tbh the "plant-based biodegradable" part made me laugh thinking about my own garage. I tried switching to eco stuff last year and bought these cornstarch trash bags. Forgot one in the trunk during a heatwave. Let's just say my car composted itself a new floor mat. Your shop upgrade sounds way more put together.

Remember thinking those bags were just a dumb gimmick until I left one on my porch bench. Came back to a weird sticky puddle and a squirrel looking very confused. Now I check the temperature warnings on everything, lol. That cornstarch stuff doesn't play around in the heat.

I read that compostable packaging can start breaking down at like 90 degrees. Makes sense your trunk became a science project last summer.
