A ranger in Yosemite told me to hike the valley downhill both ways and I thought he was messing with me
He said to park at the top of the Mist Trail and take the shuttle back up at the end, which sounds backwards but saved my knees on a 9 mile day. Started at Glacier Point instead of the valley floor and the downhill was so much easier than the climb everyone else was doing. Has anyone else flipped a route around like this just to avoid the uphill grind?
