Hit 2,000 miles on the Appalachian Trail and realized I'd only taken 4 zero days the entire time
Crossed that mark near Damascus, Virginia and my knees were toast because I kept pushing through every town stop. How many rest days do you all actually take on a thru hike?

Did you used to skip zero days too, because I always thought rest days were for the weak until my own knees quit on me.
