Picked the Copper Ridge loop over the Enchantments last July and honestly I'd do it again
Everyone pushed me toward the Enchantments but the permit lottery ate my whole spring, so I did Copper Ridge in 4 days instead and got empty trails and the same granite views without 200 people at camp, so now I'm wondering who else bailed on a hyped route and ended up glad they did.
Learned this lesson with restaurants, concerts, basically everything. The thing everybody raves about is usually the thing everybody shows up for, so you wait in line two hours or fight a permit system for months just to stand shoulder to shoulder with strangers. Meanwhile the place nobody talks about is sitting there half empty with the same food or the same view. Hype is really just a crowd signal, not a quality signal. You basically found the cheat code: let everyone else chase the famous thing and take the quiet one right next to it.
