The worst 3 days I ever had on the Pacific Crest Trail near Crater Lake
Last July I hit a stretch just south of Crater Lake where the trail was totally overgrown with poison oak for about 8 miles. I didn't realize until I stopped for lunch and saw the rash already forming on my arms. Spent the next 2 days hiking with calamine lotion and benadryl, barely making 10 miles each day. Anyone else run into surprise poison oak patches on popular routes?

Lol are we really acting like poison ivy is that big of a deal? I mean yeah it sucks but half the time I just deal with it and it goes away on its own. @morgan512 my dad used to say just rub some dirt on it and move on lol. Technu is like $12 a bottle and honestly I've never seen it make that much of a difference compared to just washing with regular soap and cold water. Plus if you're out hiking and don't have it on you, what then? You're not gonna just stop and panic. It's really not that serious, people just overreact.
