Wait, are we talking about hiking trails or that old video game where the checkpoints were basically a myth? I mean, it sounds like both have that "we hate you now go fail" energy. The old trail probably had you scrambling over roots and rocks while the new one is all smooth sailing with a coffee stand at the end. Bet the old one kicked your butt too, just like that boss fight.

Remember that one boss fight where you had to dodge like ten different attacks at once? I spent a whole weekend just trying to get past that phase. The new version is tough, but at least the checkpoints are more forgiving. The old game just loved to watch you fail over and over.
