Can we talk about how I used to fight my string trimmer for an hour every weekend?
For years I would fire up my gas trimmer, fight with the line that kept snapping, and spend 20 minutes just getting it started. Then last summer I finally gave up and bought a cheap battery powered one from Ryobi for $80. Now I just grab it, press a button, and trim my whole backyard in 15 minutes flat. No more mixing gas, no more yanking a cord 50 times. The line feeds itself with a bump on the ground too, which is a game changer. It does chew through batteries if my grass is thick, so I keep a spare charged up. Has anyone else made the jump from gas to battery and found it way less of a hassle? What brand works best for you?

Fight my string trimmer for an hour" makes it sound like a very one-sided boxing match...

And yet the trimmer never once claimed victory, which means you're the one still standing.
