Finally chose a patio stone layout after staring at two samples for a week
I picked the random ashlar pattern over the herringbone, and it looks way more natural with the garden beds. Anyone have tips for sealing flagstone in a wet climate like Seattle?

What did you use to seal it? A good penetrating sealer is key for wet areas, it lets the stone breathe. Reapply it every couple years for sure.

Learned that the hard way.

Yeah, "lets the stone breathe" was the part I never got. I used to slap on the thickest sealer I could find and wondered why it looked worse. A good penetrating one makes all the difference.
