My cheap patio umbrella lasted exactly 4 months before the tilt mechanism snapped right off

I bought a $40 umbrella from Home Depot in April and by August the cheap plastic tilt broke during a light breeze. Has anyone found a decent umbrella under $120 that can actually handle a normal summer wind without blowing apart?

Maybe check if the umbrella pole is the standard 1.5 inch size before you buy anything. Some cheaper ones use a smaller diameter that wobbles in the base and puts way more stress on the tilt. A lot of the $80 options on Amazon are actually fine if you pair them with a heavy base that doesn't let the whole thing sway.
