Pro tip: I used to just hose down my patio pavers, but a pressure washer rental changed everything
Honestly, I spent last weekend cleaning my brick patio the old way, just a garden hose and a stiff brush. It took me like 4 hours and the moss and dirt stains were still there. Tbh, I was ready to just live with it. Then my buddy let me borrow his electric pressure washer. I gave it a shot on a small corner, and ngl, the difference was crazy. The 1500 PSI stream blasted off years of grime in seconds, and the bricks looked new. It cut the whole job down to under an hour. Has anyone else found a better way to deal with the leftover sand between the pavers after washing, or do you just sweep more in?

My uncle swears by his pressure washer too, but he cracked two of his concrete pavers last year. I guess you really have to be careful with the nozzle distance and the PSI. Is all that force actually good for the material long term, or does it just wear things down faster?

My neighbor cracked a paver with his gas pressure washer last spring, he got too close with the turbo nozzle. I stick with my little electric one, it's only 1800 PSI and I keep the wand a good foot away. That leftover sand is a pain, I use a leaf blower on low to get the old stuff out first, then sweep in fresh polymeric sand and mist it with the hose. It locks up tight and keeps the weeds out.
