Used to water my tomatoes with a sprinkler like it was grass - big mistake
Honestly, I spent like three summers just setting up a cheap oscillating sprinkler on a timer and hoping for the best. My tomato plants would get all these splits and the leaves would get yellow spots, and I couldn't figure out why. Then my neighbor Bob from down the street walked over last July and was like 'you're drowning your roots and missing the leaves, dude.' He showed me his setup with a soaker hose buried under mulch, and I felt so dumb. Switched to that system this season and my plants look way healthier, no more cracked fruit or gross leaves. Has anyone else had that moment where you realized you were watering totally wrong?

I heard about a guy who swore by watering at dawn because it stopped his fungus problems.

@black.mark buddy of mine tried the same thing last summer. Said his tomatoes finally stopped looking like science experiments once he switched to dawn watering. Fungus just couldn't get a foothold with the sun drying everything out by noon.
