Discovered a 'so bad it's good' horror movie last night at 2am

I stumbled onto this 1980s slasher called "The Mutilator" on a streaming deep dive around midnight. The acting was so wooden and the death scenes were hilariously fake, but I couldn't stop watching. Has anyone else found a hidden gem like that where the bad effects actually make it more fun?

20 bucks says the killer's fake rubber knife had better acting than the main cast. Honestly those 80s slashers knew exactly what they were doing with those goofy death scenes. Ngl the terrible special effects are basically the whole charm of watching those old movies at 2am.

Those old 80s slashers have a certain charm that modern movies just can't touch. I remember staying up late one night and watching "Microwave Massacre" which was this bizarre horror comedy where a guy kills people and cooks them in his microwave. The kills were so fake that you had to laugh. @the_kevin is right about the rubber knife thing, but honestly the worse the prop the better the movie. There's something about a guy holding a foam machete that looks like a pool noodle that makes the whole thing feel like a backyard film project. The acting in most of those movies makes community theater look like the Royal Shakespeare Company. Each time the killer shows up you just know some terrible one-liner is coming your way and that's part of the fun.
