Man, YES. Your buddy knows what's up. That movie is a PERFECT storm of bad acting, weird plot twists, and accidental hilarity. Watching it sober just makes you confused, but with a few beers in you, the whole "friendship is magic" karate stuff becomes pure gold.

The first time I watched it I made the mistake of going in stone cold sober and spent half the movie just trying to figure out what was happening. Then my buddy made me watch it again with a six-pack and it completely changed the experience, suddenly the terrible dubbing and the random ninja attacks made perfect sense. You gotta commit to the bit though, don't just sip one beer the whole time, pace yourself so you're buzzed by the time the Christmas party scene rolls around. Also make sure everyone in the group is on the same page that this is a laugh-at-it movie, not a serious watch. Have you ever tried watching it with people who take it seriously? That's a whole different kind of painful.
