Showerthought: Picked the birdemic-style editing over the room's acting and instantly regretted it
I had 45 minutes to pick a movie for bad movie night last Friday and chose Edge of Sanity over Miami Connection because Anthony Perkins sounded wilder. Edge of Sanity was just boring and sad instead of fun bad, and now my friend group won't let me pick for two weeks. Has anyone else had a bad movie choice totally backfire on movie night?

Three times last year. People always think weird equals fun but it usually equals boring.

Mary_kelly hit it on the head, weird usually means boring or sad instead of fun. I read somewhere that "so bad it's good" movies need energy and craziness, not just a slow plot with a famous actor. What was the last movie night pick you totally regret letting someone choose?
