The night I watched The Room with a full crowd at the Alamo Drafthouse and it was pure chaos

Back in 2017 I went to a midnight showing of The Room in Austin. I'd seen it before on my laptop and thought it was just weird. But in a theater with 200 people screaming 'you're tearing me apart' and throwing plastic spoons at the screen, it was a whole different beast. Some guy brought a whole bag of spoons and passed them around. Every time a random frame showed up someone would yell 'cheesecake' and we all lost it. I laughed so hard my ribs hurt for two days. Has anyone else had a bad movie get totally transformed by a live audience?

Did you at least get your spoon back when the movie ended, or is that thing still lost in the seat cushions somewhere? Sounds like a solid case of a movie being saved by the audience.

Is it just me or are most things kinda better when you bring your own snacks and chaos into the mix?
