TIL a friend of mine thinks The Room is a legit masterpiece, not a so-bad-it's-good movie
My buddy Dave from the flooring supply shop in Akron kept going on about how Tommy Wiseau's acting is actually pure genius last week, and I almost choked on my coffee. He said the awkward pauses and weird line reads are intentional, like some kind of avant-garde art, which totally flipped my brain because I've always seen it as a hilarious trainwreck. So which is it, are bad movies fun *because* they fail, or can a mess like that actually be good on purpose?

Heard a guy swear it's Shakespeare for our times, dead serious.

Friend of mine read it aloud at a bar and the whole room went quiet, then some old guy started crying in the corner. Still not sure if that's a good sign or a bad one, honestly.
