Unpopular take: Sharknado 2 is better than the first one

I finally watched both back to back last Wednesday after work, and everyone I talk to swears the original is the only one worth seeing. But the sequel has way more ridiculous kills and the Statue of Liberty scene actually made me laugh out loud. The budget is still awful and the acting is worse, but that's exactly why it works for me. Has anyone else found a sequel that outdoes a bad movie classic in pure fun?
