Watched the 1995 Mortal Kombat right after the 2021 one, huge difference

I mean I knew the old one was cheesier but I didn't expect the fight choreography to be that much better in 1995, even with all the goofy effects. The new one looked slick but the action felt flat and the actors didn't have that same energy. Anyone else think the practical stunts in old bad movies beat the CGI in newer ones every time, or am I just biased?
