Why did I spend $35 on 'The Room' collector's edition

I finally caved and bought that fancy collector's edition of The Room for $35 last weekend thinking it'd be worth it for the behind the scenes stuff. The disk is scratched and won't play half the movie, plus the commentary track just has Tommy Wiseau humming for ten minutes. I could've just watched it for free on YouTube with worse quality and saved myself the headache. Has anyone else gotten burned on a bad movie purchase like this?

Flip it around - maybe you got exactly what you paid for since a scratched disk and random humming kind of capture the whole "Room" experience better than a perfect copy would.

Oh man, that's rough. I once spent $50 on a "limited edition" Blu-ray of this cult classic called "The Apple" from 1980 and it came with a paperweight that was just a rock painted gold. Not even a good paint job either, like sloppy craft paint that left brush marks. The movie itself was terrible but at least it played, I guess. I feel your pain on that scratched disk thing though, I had a copy of "Plan 9 from Outer Space" that would freeze every time the cop said "future events" and I never got a refund.
