My grandma told me to always weigh my flour, never scoop

I thought it was just her being picky, but after my third batch of dry cookies, I finally bought a $25 scale. The difference in my chocolate chip recipe was HUGE, like a whole different cookie. Do you guys weigh everything or just stick with cups for most things?

Read an article that said a cup of flour can vary by like 20% depending on how you scoop it. Totally explains the cookie trouble. Gonzalez.vera is right, a good scale changes everything.

Got that same OXO scale last year. The grams setting is perfect for flour. Makes everything so much more consistent.
