Hit 100 loaves of sourdough and the last one was a total brick
I've been keeping a baking log since I started my sourdough starter, Fred, back in January. This weekend I pulled loaf number 100 out of the oven and it was a complete doorstop, dense as a rock. I think I messed up the bulk ferment time because I got distracted fixing my mom's printer over video call. After 99 mostly decent loaves, number 100 was a real humbling fail. Has anyone else hit a big milestone number only to have it go totally wrong?

Oh man, hitting a round number like that only to get a brick is just perfect. The baking gods saw you coming for that 100th loaf and decided to keep you humble. At least you have a great story now, the one that got away because of a printer crisis. I bet Fred the starter is judging you hard.
